The Firesign Theatre was a comedy club that hosted celebrities like Billy Crystal. He appeared as the opening act at least four times. He was also a headliner on three occasions. He impersonated celebrities like Muhammad Ali. Other celebrities that performed were Richard Pryor, Jay Leno, Steven Martin, David Letterman, Dick Gregory and Jerry Seinfeld. Jay Leno performed there first in 1973 as an opening act. Catacombs was a basement club that was always crowded. It was located on 1127 Walnut Street, opening in 1981 and closing in 1986. Eons Was opened in 1980 and closed in early 1986. It one of those art clubs that had up to six dance floors to accommodate the crowd. The pulsating music could be felt from the outside. The dance floor was small, but it had a long bar, excellent finger foods and several tables. London Victory Club opened in 181 and ended closing about two years later. It was a cool place to be on a weekend night. Metron was located in Harrisburg and opened in 1981 and closed in 1992. The club began as a classy music establishment, but later changed because of the rowdy crowd that visited.

Neon Nights was located in Fairless Hills. It was opened in 1985 and closed in 1990. If you were under 21 years of age, you could go to this club.
